Three weeks until the big 5-0. . .wish I were going to Hawaii to celebrate!
Today's scripture comes from Romans 1:16, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek." Along with this scripture is another one also from Romans 8:35, 37-39 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
These scriptures are truly what I believe. I am not ashamed of the gospel. Although sometimes I don't share it as much as I should, I am not ashamed. I also believe that NOTHING separates us from the love of Christ. No matter how far we feel we have strayed, we may return.
